About Nidex WebGuard for Chrome
Nidex WebGuard is a lightweight, Manifest V3 (MV3) browser extension designed to block ads, popups, and common trackers, and intercept suspicious or unsafe links to
keep your browsing secure.
How this integration works
• Declarative Net Blocking: Utilizes Chrome's Manifest V3 declarativeNetRequest API to block ads, trackers, and telemetry at the network level with minimal CPU
and memory footprint.
• Malicious Link Interception: Actively intercepts and blocks suspicious, unsafe, or malicious URLs, showing a strict warning block page before content can load.
• Interactive Element Zapper: Allows you to point and click on any web element (such as annoying popups or banners) to instantly zap them out of view.
• Custom Rules & Filter Picker: Lets you select specific parts of a webpage to create persistent, custom hiding rules tailored to your browsing habits.
• Native Host Integration: Connects optionally to a local native helper application using a secure messaging host to coordinate system-wide security policies.
